Keep on Missing him

Pittsford, N.Y.- A Perinton woman had quite a surprise along the Erie Canal path Monday morning.
Nancy Wayne says she spotted a bear right on the path along Route 96 between Bushnell’s Basin and Pittsford.
She took out her camera and managed to get a few shots of the animal.
Stay tuned to 13WHAM News at 5 and 6 for the latest on today’s bear sighting.

PS. Maybe he was heading to aladdins for lunch.

The Damage.

Well this is usually the time of year I like to start doing some macro photograhy of floweres and other things in the garden.  I even came up with a new Idea for part of the web page.  Well, I dont know how sucessfull that will be this year.  We have finally came up with a nickname and I think official middle name for the puppy. Moose AKA chocolate MOUSSE.   At just 3 months and just under 30 lbs she does not know her own strength or mass.

This was a large healthy Autum joy "hens and chick"

Why is it that people are the stupid ones and the animals may have to suffer.  At least it looks like the bears will be spared this time.

Conn. town warns residents about harmful hawk

STONINGTON, Conn.— Authorities said an aggressive red-tailed hawk has attacked at least five people recently in a Connecticut town, including a woman who needed medical care after being cut on the head.

Police in Stonington, a shoreline town bordering Rhode Island, warned residents Wednesday by e-mail and through the town's reverse 911 system to watch out for the large hawk.

Recess and gym classes at a nearby school were held indoors.

Officials said the hawk has snatched a hat off a boy's head, snagged headphones from a man on a lawnmower and even attacked a car. On Tuesday, it gashed a woman's head so deeply that she was checked at a local hospital.

The state Department of Environmental Protection is working with the city to find the bird and determine what to do about its aggressive behavior.

How True

With the approaching storm, and predictions of 20 inches of snow, I thought that this would be a good time to share this cartoon I got last week from a  friend.
